Since 2013 Semester has become a long-awaited event for children from 28 cities in Russia and neighbouring countries. More than 3700 schoolchildren have participated in the contest so far. The winners got the exciting prizes and took the opportunity to study at British School Online.

How to participate?

Carry out a project/short scientific research and make the presentation.

Participants do online tasks. The tasks are published at https://jands-online.org and become available on January 12. To get the access to the tasks, you need to choose your age group and follow the link.
The History of the contest (2015-2022)
IX SEMester:
Basic Sciences for Development
On March 2022 the final defenses of projects were held by the participants IX International interdisciplinary competition SEMester. Congratulations to the winners of the competition!
VIII SEMester:
Science and Technology
In 2021, despite the pandemic and lockdown, 285 students of grades 5-8 became participants of the competition (due to viral restrictions, the competition for grades 9-10 was not held in 2021)
VII SEMester:
Enviroment and Plant Health
In 2020, 470 students of grades 5-10 became participants of the competition.
For their interesting projects and excellent presentation in English, the students received memorable gifts and certificates for studying at the British School online.
VI SEMester:
The Greatest Scientific Discoveries
For 6 years of the competition, more than 2500 students from Russia and Kazakhstan have become its participants. In 2019, 604 people took part in the competition!
The participants of the competition conducted interesting researches and successfully presented them. The commission was especially surprised by the variety of topics selected and the great scientific value of the experiments.
V SEMester:
European cultural heritage
The 5th SEMester competition was dedicated to the Year of European National Heritage. For 5 years more than 1600 schoolchildren from 28 cities of Russia and Kazakhstan took part in the competition.
IV SEMester:
Time to travel
For 4 years Semester has become a long-awaited event for children from 27 cities of Russia and neighboring countries. More than 1300 schoolchildren from Russia and Kazakhstan took part in it. In 2017, 222 schoolchildren from 20 cities of Russia and Kazakhstan fought for the victory.
III SEMester:
Посвященный творчеству Уильяма Шекспира
In 2016, students from 19 cities took part in the competition.
The winners of the SEMester (Science, English, Maths) competition in mathematics, geography, biology, chemistry received grants for the online programs Speak Now and Pathway online — teaching Czech and English.
II SEMester
More than 450 schoolchildren from 6 cities took part in the competition: Kemerovo, Novokuznetsk, Novosibirsk, Omsk and Omsk region, Rubtsovsk, Tomsk.
The winners received grants and discounts for training at the British School of JandS Company, as well as pleasant and useful bonuses from the International Educational Agency of JandS Company.
